Roses for Zelda

A Metaphorical Good Morning

  • Reading: Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
So Fanfiction.net is as good as dead for me. My computer refuses to load it - the best I can hope for is a glimpse of the homepage before the connection times out. So it's back to the library. I'm contemplating moving the bulk of my writing efforts to my LiveJournal, which might make things a little less formal. Of course I'll have to scrape up a bit of courage to actually start finishing stories and posting them on the web again. I've no idea where all my courage has fled - I haven't posted anything since last year.

Still writing for the Legend of Zelda and Super Smash Brothers fandoms, but have lately expanded to Inheritance Cycle fanfiction (so shamelessly AU I sometimes wonder if I'm doing the spirit of fanfiction a disfavour by writing it, xP) and Chronicles of Narnia/Lord of the Rings/Legend of Zelda crossovers. It's amazing how many of fantastical elements in those stories overlap. I just want to gather them all up into a story and revel in them.

How is Turkey?

Haha, that's the cutest emoticon, too!

I actually just returned from Turkey a few days ago, and it was an incredible experience! I should post some of the pictures I took on photobucket and post the links in a journal, just in case it'd be of some interest :).
The time that I spent in Turkey was actually only spent in Istanbul (visiting both the European and Asian sides). It's really like no other place I've ever visited; it's apparent that modern Istanbul was literally constructed from the stonework of the ancient city. For example, many apartment complexes had gardens enclosed by ancient Roman walls--one man had even put a TV and a couch in an ancient courtyard that was near his home! Wouldn't it be lovely to live like that? To just nonchalantly live in history, with all the comfort of modern appliances :p??
It's amazing to visit everything there, particularly on foot. It's a very interesting blend of both Europe and Asia. My favorite attraction was Ayasofia, the temple built under Justinian I's reign during the Byzantine empire.

Wow, It was so kind of you to ask, I had such a wonderful time ! If you'd like to see them, I'll post some of the pictures, though most of them are graced with appearances of my family, haha :).
I apologize for the long response! There's just so much to tell!

Thanks for the watch! I was just wondering if you plan on continuing Moonstruck?
:iconopus-t:
I'm hoping to continue that story, yes!

Thank you so much for the :+fav:, Selah! I'm so glad you liked it! I probably should have asked permission to use themes from your story, first, but I was so excited about Moonstruck :)!
But thank you, again !
:iconopus-t:
Bah- the themes of Moonstruck are your rights, Evanesced (permission? Harr...). That's the least I can do for all the kindness and encouragement you've given me in all my writing, :D The lineart is so beautiful - and such a motivation! MS may see a new chapter before next week is out. Goodness knows I need motivation, xD
